Can I use a 2.6 kernel with RH9? As I have said many times before, I have a personal preference to SuSE (and SuSE 9.0 comes with the 2.6 kernel as an optional install). SuSE also has a free update service similar to Red Hat's uptodate. One of the things I like about SuSE is that the distribution media contains just about everything you would want, including sources. SuSE 9.0 professional has a double sided DVD + 5 CDs. Installation time from the DVD is about 45 minutes. SuSE has its drawbacks as does RedHat, but I think that since it's 8.1 release has been much better than Red Hat. - -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/6eaS+wA+1cUGHqkRAu/KAJkBTucyQIKRKa2ZPdS93kgvo78cogCfcPWn BUkG6qWgf7RUIHVQSajOj1I= =NPLB -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
