I know that Wine isn't an emulator -- hence the "wine is not an emulator" expansion of the name -- which is why it's faster but bound to x86 hardware. Bochs on the other hand does emulate the hardware, but now that I think about it I don't remember whether VMware does or not... </unhelpful> -- Chris Devers
