Job Title: IT System Administrator Department: Information Technology Reports To: Director of Technology Services SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the technology system used to operate and develop the Jenzabar business processes. The IT System Administrator is responsible to implement new technology into these systems as needed. This group will work within the overall plans for technology within the Information Technology Team and the Jenzabar organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: )B? Responsible to insure that the Jenzabar Technology systems are properly secured. )B? Responsible to maintain appropriate user enrollments and access in systems for all new, current and exiting users. )B? Assist in the planning and budgeting process for the IT Group. )B? Maintain Telephone, Pager, and Voice communications systems )B? Maintain and upgrade PCs )B? Provide User Support )B? Provide support for Local Area Networks & Administration )B? Provide support for Business Application Software )B? Provide Server Services )B? Provide Operating Systems for supported systems )B? Responsible to provide Internet Service to the organization )B? Execute backups & recovery plans, systems redundancy, data protection )B? Provide Hardware Assets and Maintenance Tracking )B? Maintain a Master Software Library )B? Provide Learning Center hardware and software maintenance )B? Research and purchase equipment for above services )B? Upgrade to above systems to support business needs )B? Provide user training for systems EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor)B?s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum five years experience supporting information systems in an enterprise environment. Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0, and Windows 9x operating systems. Experience with the design, installation, and management of a network infrastructure, including network protocols, network components and communications, network operating systems, and structured cabling design. Demonstrated expertise with administering and managing Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 / 7.0. Experience with the installation, configuration, and management of Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft Transaction Server, and related Web software and tools. Certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) desirable but not required.
