I recently inherited a similar camera. I've had success simply mounting the camera as a USB device. Here's my /etc/fstab entry for the thing: /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb1 vfat user,sync,noauto,umask=0 0 0 and then I just mount the thing with "mount /mnt/usb1".
