Help finding device...

Is this a custom kernel, or do you use the one that
comes with Debian.  Either way, the drivers for your
soundcard probably aren't compiled.  You either need
to compile them into the kernel, or use the preferred
method of modules.  Check your
/lib/modules/$kernel_version directory to see what's available.
