orkut seems unfriendly to consumers...

FYI, the author of that piece, Andrew Orlowski, has been building up an
impressive collection of paranoid screeds about the evil that lurks within
the dark heart of Google. With that in mind, it's unsurprising that he's
now just as paranoid about the Google-owned Orkut. 

This isn't to say that he's wrong, necessarily, but just keep it in mind
as you read the article. This guy has a definite axe to grind with Google,
and he's spent much of the past year or two writing up wild-eyed articles
about them. Maybe there really is something to it, but getting a second
opinion or source of anything he writes wouldn't be a bad idea.

But then, that's true for any news source, isn't it? :) It just may be
even more the case here...
