I've been prone to Mandrake, of course, and I'll try to attend. I have copies of the 9.2.1 release, which includes all the updates released by about a month ago (so the dreaded LG CDROM firmware bug is avoided). I've had a preference to Mandrake over RedHat for a while, because - "generally", they've been more conservative about releasing code before it's ready. I still remember getting window managers from RedHat that didn't properly update the Xauthority files, and compilers that had problems. - installation is less troublesome, sys admin tools are pretty good. - they are more "desktop" oriented, and have good taste in setting up KDE, etc. ++++++++++++++++++++++==========================+++++++++++++++++++++++++ New Topic: If anyone wants to work on non-Intel hardware, arrangements should be made in advance to make sure appropriate installation media is available, or they should bring their own ++++++++++++++++++++++==========================+++++++++++++++++++++++++ New Question: Is it Installfest policy to supply the "customer" with a set of installation media as part of the package?
