This is the second time (at least)that this very same discussion has taken place on this list, and both times I think it has out-paced all other competing threads. I believe that it is relative to this list, as I suspect that everyone subscribed to it has been affected by it. However, I also believe that it does overwhelm the more 'on-topic' discussions, and could become a frustration (to some). Perhaps a vote is in order? We are a democracy after all ;-). 2 additional points: 1.> I do understand that there are other, perhaps more appropriate places for a discussion of this type, however I suspect they would not be one's to which I would subscribe (in fact, this is the only free-form discussion list I subscribe to anymore). 2.> I often delete whole threads that I have no interest in, regardless of their topic. I do not find it a burden. I find it much more of a burden deciding whether or not I should delete "apogee diction woohoo" or "support armpit dating" (actual email subjects ;-). Grant M.
