I have the SuSE CD image that I install from the DVD, but on my desktop, I copied the DVD image to a local HD, and did a hard disk install. (I cannot boot from my CD). The advantages of maintaining the data on the HD is that if I need to add a package, I just bring up YaST and install. No fumbling for CDs. I was looking at the SuSE DVD and the CDs. Most of what you want are the rpms under the suse subdirectories. In addition, each CD has a media.n directory containing a media code. I suggest that you copy the first CD, then what I would do would be to rsync the suse subdirectories of the other CDs, and possibly copy the media.n directories, or edit the media.1/media and change the 5 to a 1. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
