USB2.0 at 256MB appears to be my sweet-spot on the capacity/price curve. Two drives grabbed my attention. A-DATA RB-1 ----------- Rubber-encased, waterproof, rugged looking. Perhaps bulky for some. Manufacturer lists Linux on package and 2.4 kernel on web-site. $45 at newegg.com and chiefvalue.com, no-shipping or tax. http://www.adata.com.tw/en/p-f1-05.htm SANDISK Cruzer Micro -------------------- Popular brand. Small size (8mm x19mm x52mm) $42 at ebuyer.com, no-shipping or tax. http://sandisk.com/retail/cruzer-micro.asp I'm learning more toward physical size over ruggedness, fits my lifestyle better. I need to fit this into my laptop bag, not take it jogging. :-) If you want cheaper there is the Sandisk Cruzer-mini for $37 at ebuyer.com (no shipping or tax), $36 at chiefvalue.com. If you want ultra-small PQI seems to be the choice, but costs $$. The Lexar Elite is another alternative for those who like brand-names, $44 includes shipping. I'm having an almost impossible time finding dimensions... Thanks for those who provided input so far. More is still welcome.
