At the very least you wouldn't be using the AIX C compiler which may have who knows how many GNU incompatibilities. So 2.9 may be a good place to start with building a newer release of GCC. I'd really suggest starting that way, then once you have your gcc <currentver> build your toolchain. Also, google is my friend. http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2003-07/msg00212.html -miah On Thu, Aug 12, 2004 at 12:08:18PM -0400, Bob Gorman wrote: > At 11:41 AM 8/12/2004, David Kramer wrote: > >> ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/GNUPro/gcc-2.9.aix51.020209-4.aix5.2.ppc.rpm > > > >That's gcc 2.9, which as I mentioned is about 4 years old. > > As miah said, use it to 'boot-strap'. > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss at blu.org > http://www.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss >
