OT: Canon printer question

 I apologize for the bandwidth, but does anyone
 know anything about the "purge unit" in, as it
 happens, a Canon S800 printer?  This is apparently
 not a user fix but, hey, I like opening things up
 if there is any hope of not waiting N-weeks for
 some service shop in Timbuktu to get to my gear.
