Multihomed / Failover IMAP Config?

You can use a backup MX record to solve this.  It'll just queue your 
mail until your primary MX record gets fixed.  This doesn't involve any 
additional configuration changes on your part.  You shouldn't lose any 
mail doing it this way as well.  However, unless you can find somebody 
to do this for you or pay for the service, you might need an alternate 
solution.  You could also use lvs to do failover.
