I use jpilot to sync with my palm pilot. When I hot sync, the system creates /dev/ttyUSB[01] with permissions rw - root, rw - uucp(grp). My user id is in the UUCP group. Additionally, every once in a while, /dev/ttyUSB[34] is created. I had been using the kpilot daemon before I installed jpilot (Jpilot is on the SuSE 9.2 DVD but not on the CDs). After I installed jpilot, it did work without me manually changing the permissions. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9
