Guys, I'm now on my final stage of computer equipment (toys) purchases, with the last item I'm considering getting is a laptop/notebook. I've been looking at the Sony S serise VAIOs with XBright displays. I went down to MicroCenter to get a hands on experience with them and what struck me was that the XBright display has a shiny look to it. In other words, it reflects a lot of light so ambient glare becomes an issue. At least I think it does. For example. I as I sat down with the VAIO on my lap, and the screen tilted back so that it faced me, I could notice the glare of the overhead neon lights reflect in the display thus making it a bit difficult to read/see the screen. Has anyone else experienced this problem or noticed it with these XBright displays? If it weren't for that particular problem, I would have gone ahead and gotten one of those notebooks... Cheers. Steve.
