I've got some ram for older laptops like this, I think is PC133 SDRAM, 128 mb, maybe 64. Anyway, its free to someone who can give it a good home, especially a Linux laptop. Email me privately and I'll write back tonight when I can check the specs. -Josh On Dec 21, 2004, at 1:44 PM, Brendan wrote: > On Tuesday 21 December 2004 12:54, Bob Gorman wrote: >> Pushing more into the mainstream... >> The laptop has a 1.0 GHz processor, 128 MB RAM, and a 14.1-inch LCD >> screen. > > The killer is the RAM size. > I picked up one of these for my beautiful girlfriend yesterday (I say > "picked > up" literally, because she paid): > http://dealnews.com/articles/77472.html > > It's expired already, but what a great deal. > > Already has a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2 on it (for compatibility > sake, so > she can get tech help in Hawaii, at school), but I installed a fresh > copy of > PCLinuxOS P8 on it to dual boot, and it is very very slick. > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss at blu.org > http://olduvai.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
