Hello gentlemen  - 
Back when I was very very young I used teco -- 
anyone use it still?  since any random string of letters was a command,
entering your name in command mode was amusing...

But then I learned dec's EDT -- uses the keypad  -- 
and have used it ever since, in the emacs emulation -- 

does anyone know a reasonably current edt emulation
that doesn't use emacs?  I've stumbled over a couple
in the last few years, but none were as clean as the emacs version..
