I was able to hot sync my Treo 650 on SuSE 9.2 with a 2.6.11 kernel. (I haven't tried the stock kernel with the fix, below yet), so it might work. Someone posted this on the SuSE list: 1. create file in /etc/udev/rules.d named 10-udev.rules and containing: # Palm Handheld BUS="usb",SYSFS{serial}="PalmSN12345678",NAME="pilot" 2. create a file in /etc/udev/permissions named 10-udev.permissions containing: # Palm Handheld rw pilot*:root:usb:0666 The dlpsh command should work fine. Note that with my Palm m130 I must use /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 and with the Treo it is /dev/usb/ttyUSB1 The other problems I have not solved yet is how to merge my m130 databases onto the Treo. Initially, the Treo was identified as a different user because the m130 and the Treo had different user ids (same user name). The install-user command can be used to set the user name and user id. One thing I was too timid to try the other day was to backup my m130, then restore it to the Treo. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
