I suggest peruse the projects, find one you can build a personal passion for! Be excited about what you are doing! And it would be OK if it could also solve a proglem for you too! Why? For work in general, people (especially volunteers) get 'paid' by a feeling of doing good for others (a little cash helps too for non-'volunteer' projects). The more passionate people are about what they are doing the more active they stay, the more they get done. Ok, obviously you hit one of my 'opinion buttons'. I hope this helps in some little way. -- Keep your critical files backed up and secure - - > Dr.Backup Remote Online Backup Service < - - > 30 day free trial period--Free help with setup < http://www.drbackup.net?pid=Coats (Extra FREE storage when you sign up using the full link above) ---------- Original Message ----------- From: "Baran, Lucas" <Lucas.Baran at FMR.COM> To: <gcmarx at alumni.virginia.edu>, <discuss at blu.org> Sent: Thu, 17 Mar 2005 13:46:12 -0500 Subject: RE: Small Open Source projects > I completely agree, > > There are many projects I've enjoy doing on my own to solve > problems, but I'm trying to find a team type project and unless I can > get others to join a certain project I'm working on I thought it > would be easier to find out what kind of team project are going on > out there and hopefully hop on one that interests me. > > Thanks, > Lucas > > -----Original Message----- > From: Gordon Marx [mailto:gcmarx at gmail.com] > Sent: Thursday, March 17, 2005 1:40 PM > To: discuss at blu.org > Subject: Re: Small Open Source projects > > Lucas, > I think what David is trying to say is that you should find a problem > that interests you.
