Thanks Ed & Dave. ibm-apci in the stock distro is a good reason for FC3. I suppose I'm not too invested in APT to switch to RPMs, and I gather there's a FC for Alpha too, so I could be compatible there. > Nontheless, APM is most likely what's compatible with BIOSes in older > laptops.
