Very ;-) > My goal is to install Fedora Core 4 on > a Thinkpad that has XP Pro already on it... > What are the caveats or "watch-out for's"? Thinkpads have specific APCI issues. IIRC, FC3/FC4 should be better than most linux for Thinkpad. Debian/Ubuntu on a T23 has been an adventure, but ifyou can read this it's working. > Is there a Web Site that has good installation > procedure or details that people have grown to > respect? You should plan to re-install windows on the first partition after partioning -- the re-sizing of NTFS just doesn't happen. I broke Win2k trying to do that on this box, which was just as well as it forced me to make this a Linux only laptop and I'm happy. (It's not my only system, and was new to me with nothing on C: that I cared about, so not a problem.) Fedora isn't my preferred distro, so beyond that I'm not helpful . Maybe someone else will chime in ... Bill -- /"\ Bill Ricker N1VUX wdr at world.std.com \ / http://world.std.com/~wdr/ X Member of the ASCII Ribbon Campaign Against HTML Mail / \
