LED signs for linux.

Does anyone know about any linux software for an LED sign using the
ALPHA protocol over a serial port? I've come accross some scarce
documentation. There doesn't seem to be much interest in it.

I have an Adaptive 4160c, 2 line, tricolor LED sign that I would like
to get working with Linux. If anyone has a clue please drop me a
note. Thanks.
