Weird imap problems

When I tried it this morning, it was working again. It's nice that the 
problem is gone, but frustrating that I don't know why it happened, 
so I don't feel like it's actually fixed. 

Hopefully it was just something that got stuck in a weird state during 
the LDAP outage, and eventually timed out.
