Technical Team Leader/Information Architect OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit, international consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of e-business standards. The consortium produces more Web services standards than any other organization along with standards for security, e-business, and standardization efforts in the public sector and for application-specific markets. Founded in 1993, OASIS has more than 6,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of experience supervising a small, dedicated technical team * Proven technical leadership skills * Management of technical staff including allocation of work assignments and priorities, coordination of work, follow-through to insure task completion, and training and mentoring. * On-going planning, coordination and reporting of all IT activities. Prioritization and scheduling of technical work. * Developing and maintaining the IT budget, including asset management. * 7+ years experience of commercial web development experience using open source systems, applications and tools with proven experience in information architecture * Development and implementation of commercial applications and systems * Architected and implemented systems that allow secure, seamless and scaleable integration of disparate collaboration tools for management of members, committees, forums, lists, content, portals, events, etc. * Designed and implemented information architectures that translate organizational workflow, rules and practices into applications and systems by merging various disciplines such as usability, information design, user interfaces, etc. * 5+ years experience in systems administration * Management and administration of production servers and networks in a co-location facility and a local development environment * On-call support of IT systems in rotation with other technical staff to ensure maximum availability. * Administration and maintenance of company office infrastructure, including networks, telecommunications, office computers and systems, etc. * Focus on customer service * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills * Ability to work independently in a virtual work environment Required Technical Skills: * Development and Architecture * Demonstrated proficiency at generating and maintaining systems and information architectures and translating them into project plans, design documents, and software implementation and upgrades * Detailed understanding of XML-based content and services that can optimize systems and information architecture, design and implementation * Proven ability to integrate, develop and maintain tools, applications and systems created using LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP), Python and Zope * Development languages such as C, Perl, PHP, Shell and other scripting languages, and open source compilers * Proficient with Microsoft Office or OpenOffice tools (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation) * Systems Administration * Unix system administration, including Solaris (x86 and Sparc), Linux and OpenBSD * Network Management in a co-location and small office environment * System security including system configuration and building and tuning firewalls * Maintaining applications such as Qmail, Netscape Enterprise Server, MySQL, etc. * Desktop and peripherals administration This position is based in Billerica, MA.
