OK, I just made the Ugliest Crossover Cable Possible, and verified it with my cable tester against: http://www.makeitsimple.com/how-to/dyi_crossover.htm Inexplicably, there was no change in the results. Everything worked as it did before. Truly baffling. I've put enough time into this that it's promoted to the "I just need it done" category. Anyone willing to come over to Waltham one night and straighten it out? I'm willing to pay a reasonable rate. I have too many balls in the air and simply don't have time for this. I like mysteries, but when the clues contradict each other... I'm going to reconfigure everything to the old setup (everything through the WRT54G) for now.
