Ok, so here's the deal: I have a Solaris 9 server that I am trying to bind to a Windows 2003 domain controller. I have done Win2k AD before using Samba2 & winbindd, and everything just worked. The only apparent difference here is that the PDC is a Win2k3 box. I have tried both Samba 3x and Samba 2x, and they both fail with messages that, from google indicate that the pam libraries don't match the windbindd, but I have loaded 4 different versions and replaced the pam libs each time. Has anyone out there done this with anything other than the non-free Sun idsync stuff? I can get it to a point where the server is bound, I can pull users & groups, and even sometimes authenticate using wbinfo, but when I implement pam it just fails with a message something like: request_len_recv: Invalid request size received: 1304 Any help appreciated, Grant M. -- Grant Mongardi Systems Engineer NAPC gmongardi at napc.com http://www.napc.com/ 781.894.3114 phone 781.894.3997 fax NAPC | technology matters
