I second the notion of that being a cheapie card. If you still have the receipt, take it back. There was a wg511 version 1 that had a nice linux-friendly chipset, but they don't sell it anymore. Ummm, isn't the CF50 a new laptop? It didn't come with an internal wireless card? How about an internal mini-pci slot? I have the Intel 2915 A/B/G card in my laptop (internal mini-pci) and love its native Linux drivers. If you bought your laptop without wireless, hopefully inside it's wired with the antenna and you can just insert a nice mini-pci card. If you pricewatch "intel 2915" you can find these cards for $23 with free shipping. -- David Backeberg (dave at math.mit.edu) On Thu, 22 Jun 2006, dan moylan wrote: > > got this wireless card recently and am having difficulties > getting it installed on panasonic toughbook CF50 under > suse10. > > i've googled and fumbled with no success so far and would > appreciate any suggestions. > > tia, > dan > > j. daniel moylan > 84 harvard ave #2 > brookline, ma 02446-6202 > 617-232-2360 (tel) > 617-777-0207 (cel) > 810-454-1823 (fax) > jdm at moylan.info > www.moylan.info > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss at blu.org > http://olduvai.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss >
