Cyrus is overkill, then. Try: Dovecot http://www.dovecot.org Courier http://www.courier-mta.org (has a separable IMAPd, many HOWTOs) BINC IMAP http://www.bincimap.org Any of these can authenticate through PAM, if you wish.
