IRTrans?

Anyone have a IRTrans?  I can't seem to get my system to detect it  
under Fedora Code 5.  Also, I am wondering how to relay IR signals  
from a receiver on one server over Ethernet to a transmitter (the  
IRtrans) on another server to control a satellite receiver.
