/dev/.udev and /etc/.pwd.lock

I installed rkhunter, and it's bitching that these files exist ("hidden
files") on my FC6 box.  Are these files supposed to be there?

/etc/.pwd.lock also exists on my SUSE10.0 laptop, which also has a
/dev/.udevdb/

Should I just whitelist those files?
