Decoder for Quicktime .mov

My digital Nikon camera can take movies but it saves them in
as an RLE codec encapsulated in the QT.mov format. None of
the Linux movie apps that I have installed can read this. I
have tried Vlc, Totem, and Totem-xine to no avail. Is there
a program that can convert this to a file type that can be
read by the most common Linux Apps?
