We looking for a talented individual to join our platform engineering team. Your responsibilities will include adding Linux client support to our high speed, real-time Media Network shared storage system. The ideal candidate will be a principal level engineer with a strong background in Linux kernel development; file system development experience is a plus. The candidate must have a track record of delivering complex software solutions based on their own estimates. The position requires a strong team player that can move fast and adjust to change in a complex and agile development environment. Required Skills: ? Strong knowledge of Linux kernel development ? Programming with real-time constraints ? Fluency in C and C++, with strong problem-solving skills ? Thorough understanding of Linux file systems (ext3, NFS, and etc ) ? BS degree in Electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field ? 6+ years software engineering and development experience on a Linux platform. ? Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have strong organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly. ? Candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communications skills ? Excellent inter-personal skills are required ? Ability to respond effectively and urgently to issues arising from support and sustaining of the existing products and applications ? Knowledge of kernel configuration and build, packaging, install and initial system bring up including boot loading is desirable If you are you interested in learning state-of-the-art technologies that drive the white-hot digital media storage market?
