DST issue

And, of course, when you're dealing with something like the time/date display
in  the  nav  bar  of  a  GUI, it can be difficult to discover what app is in
charge of that particular screen widget.

Another funny thing: I found that  the  time/date  widget  has  a  menu,  and
there's  a  "Config  time  & date" meny item.  I tried that, and it gave me a
window for doing what you'd expect - and it shows the correct EDT time.   But
its  time  in  the  little widget in the corner of my screen is still an hour
off.
