I like the shuttles as well. I guess I would say that I have always been happy with MSI motherboards. I think that the boards with the VIA chipsets are pretty well supported. I have a micro atx via board with onboard video and a pci slot. I try to do this every time so that they are easier to re-purpose. I am not currently running 64 bit Linux. It's been great so far.
