How to enable virtualization?

You don't. My (theoretical) understanding is that the new
virtualization features
in some AMD and Intel CPUs don't allow you to boot different operating systems
directly on the machine. They instead make it much more efficient for
a program
(such as VMware) to provide a virtualized machine in which to boot
your OS of choice.
"Much more efficient" means very close to native speed.

I believe the AMD and Intel virtuatlization features are different,
but provide similar enough
features that most of the virtual machine software either supports or
will soon support
both of them.
