hi all. i get this error message at boot. i've had it before on my computer and turned off apic somehow and the problem went away. that was ~6 months ago and of course i've forgotten what the heck i did. anyway, i'm playing around with fedora 6 on the same computer and have tried all the magical incantations but nothing seems to work. pci=noapic, noapic, noapic nolapic, noacpi noapic, noacpi noapci nolapic, acpi=off... anybody else in a similar situation and what did you do? thanks, eric c. hp media center m7334n x68_64 amd dual core 3800+ release: 2.6.20-1.2948.fc6 -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
