i just did a fresh install last night.  i picked kde and tried to keep 
the install under control and not have a ton of packages i'll never use. 
  there's lots of new artwork, really looks sharp.  newer versions of 
apps with new features to play with.  i did add a repo 
(http://freshrpms.net/) for a couple of extra goodies.  nothing like the 
smell of a fresh new system!  i've not installed java (sun) or flash 
this time around.  feeling rebellious.  everything seems to be working 
well and it does have the feel of an improvement.  some of the boot 
errors i was getting are gone now. :-)
