> I'm curious about VMware running windows on a new intel mac, though. > Or vmware on a new intel mac running linux, and having windows and > mac running at the same time. If anyone is trying anything this, let > us know any results.. or if anyone has pointers, let me know! i routinely run windows and various linux distros in virtual machines on my intel macs (dual core macbook laptops and quad-core mac pro towers). at work all our development is on mac os x and we test our software deployment to gentoo vms. works perfectly. we use parallels desktop (www.parallels.com) for the mac. vmware fusion (equivalent to vmware workstation) is in beta for mac os x and offers similar features. note that you cannot run vmware "on the metal" and virtualize your os x installation. the vm guests can only be windows or linux. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
