Oracle has developed what it is calling the Btrfs file system, which is designed to address expanding scalability requirements of large storage subsystems. An alpha release is available at http://oss.oracle.com/projects/btrfs. The contribution adds to Oracle's earlier move to open-source the Oracle Cluster File System. And...
