I want to set up a cron job on a linux box that dumps the filesystem once a week and date-stamps the file with the format dump-ddmmmyy, where ddmmmyy represents the dateMonthYear of the backup.. I've got the line figured out except for the variable date-stamp - how do I create that? Also, does cron provide the flexibility for me to say "do this all but the last Friday of the month"? I learned about the L suffix for the last whatever, but leading up to it. I want to introduce some flexibility for months that may have five Fridays vs four. Thanks.
