Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2007 13:50:00 -0400 From: "Kristian Erik Hermansen" <[hidden email]> The bios can affect the largest file you can store indirectly. Think about if you have a raid array over 2TB. Can a standard bios handle this "drive"? I ran into such a scenario recently... If you use a logical volume manager, it can aggregate multiple disks/arrays, which would allow you to exceed any BIOS limit. Furthermore, the BIOS will have no effect on the maximum file offset. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
