I am using a Brother MFC 7820N printer that has an Ethernet connection and acts as a network printer. I plug it into the wireless router Ethernet port. I am using the router supplied by FIOS at present, but they all seem to work. After some minor configuration (i.e, assigning a IP address for the printer). I can print from all my computers and laptops. jay On 10/24/07, Jeffrey Finkelstein <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > On Wed, 2007-10-24 at 17:51 -0400, Anthony Gabrielson wrote: > > Hello, > > I may have a need to buy two new laptops shortly i.e. this weekend. > > Although my wifes laptop will run windows I will probably run Ubuntu on > > it. > > You may want to look at System76 laptops, which are designed with Ubuntu > in mind and have Ubuntu pre-installed. > > http://www.system76.com > > > -- > This message has been scanned for viruses and > dangerous content by MailScanner, and is > believed to be clean. > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > [hidden email] > http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss >
