File browser

 Hi, this is probably a really simple question but: 

When I double click on a folder in F7/Gnome the file browser has no left 
pane and opening up successive directories open in new windows. Now, if 
i right click and choose 'Browse folder' everything works fine. Is there 
any way to set this as the default for when I double click?
