You have to monkey around a bit in Open Firmware to boot the PPC Macs with NetBSD. Find your model here: http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/models.html Check to see if there are any particular footnotes for the model. The basic Open Firmware info is here: http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/SystemDisk-tutorial/ The FAQ has some relevant info as well: http://www.netbsd.org/ports/macppc/faq.html#boot-trouble You can google for 'netbsd macppc boot cd' and get a bunch of hits from the mailing list. I installed Netbsd on a blue & white Yosemite a few years ago. Once you get past the booting stage, it's a fairly straightforward install. -ben -- in the absence of a senior organizing principle, the organization will oscillate. <robert fritz> -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
