Some people on this list are probably cringing from the noise when I say that my preference is for: IBM Model M Northgate Omnikey/101 PCKeyboard.com Unicomp EnduraPro/104 all of which use buckling-spring mechanisms to guarantee both long life and a loud click on every press.
