Sign up for a dyndns.org DNS name, and install SSH. Configure it 
with AllowUsers set to only your account. Disable passwords and 
use a key. 

Run sudo netstat -tlnp and turn off everything you see except ssh. 

Install a Jabber client and configure it so you are on the buddy 
list. 

OK, now you are a remote sysadmin.
