On my Ubuntu system (or probably any debian based system), I did: 

   apt-cache search pdf | grep -i editor 

This led me to install a program called pdfedit, which might be what 
you want.  (I got it to work once for a quite trivial change, but 
that's what you really want a pdf editor for.)
