(from a recent blog I posted) As I'm racing along the east coast at 115 mph on the AMTRAK Acela train from NYC (2007 baseball loosers!) back home to Boston (2007 World Series Champs), I'm sippig a beverage and enjoying the NBA Celics broadcast on my Linux (RHEL 5) laptop via a Verizon EVDO and mplayer. Here are the simple steps to listen to NBA games on your linux desktop: 1) register for NBA All Access here (free) http://www.nba.com/allaccess/ 2) then go here: http://www.nba.com/broadband/alp_schedule.html 3) get link for your game (right click, copy link location) 4) use mplayer to listen to game (paste link and remove javascript crap): EXAMPLE: mplayer -playlist http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia-live/nba/7253/20_nba-boston_audio_040930.asx enjoy... -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
