I just met some guys out here in San Francisco that work for BitTorrent. They actually do have a system that intercepts HTTP requests via a proxy and tries to grabbed cached content over torrent networks, and if it can't get it in time, they just allow the request to pass to the actual web server :-) Pretty cool.
