Actually, the SCO products were very popular in the corporate world until RHEL/Workstation and SLED started to erode their traditional base. They are also well known in Europe. At one time I had SCO running on my system here, but I never liked SCO Xenix or SCO Unix. Note that Xenix was Microsoft's port of Unix to the desktop. Santa Cruz had a worldwide sales and support operation. The issue for Linux is that until the Novell and IBM cases are resolved in the courts, it remains a hindrance. Look for SCO to try to foist their bogus Linux licenses on corporate clients. It is certainly worth 100,000,000 to those whose business is being hurt by Linux, such as Microsoft. -- -- Jerry Feldman <[hidden email]> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
